Almudena Grandes, a Spanish novelist with an interesting project on post-Spanish Civil War history, died of cancer at the age of 61 on 27 November 2021.

This blogger so far has only read Grandes’ 2010 work Inéz y la alegría [Inéz and happiness] of which he liked the settings and the parts describing the historical background, not so much the love story involving her heroine.
